The Technical Side Of Things
Behind the scenes of ADDucation are not, as some would have you believe, a series of robots. The truth is I leverage a range of platforms and services to make the magic happen. Here’s my favourites.
Bluehost
I’ve been using Bluehost since 2008 for hosting every website I own. Alongside the ridiculously awesome benefits I’ve benefited from such as one-click WordPress installs unlimited bandwidth, unlimited emails and unlimited domains, they’ve also got two other things going for them.
Fantastic customer service, and great up time. In fact, my site has only gone down once and the customer service team were there to talk me through it.
Thesis Framework For WordPress
I’ve spent more than a few hours developg sites for WordPress, and as a result I’m aware of how many hours can be poured into making slight tweaks as you go along. That sucks.
Thesis has saved me from lengthy development time sucks, and is the framework that ADDucation is built on. I’ve been able to customise it as I see fit and integrate it with all my plugins without a hassle. Furthermore, the support on the Thesis Forum has been invaluable when trying out new things. I can’t recommend it enough
